PokéRogueCommunity Tier List

How it works

Player-voted tier lists for every PokéRogue starter, in Classic and Endless, with and without unlocks.

Four independent tier lists

Two game modes, each ranked with and without starter unlocks. A starter that carries a Classic run is not always the one that holds up in Endless.

  • Classic: The standard run: 200 waves, gym leaders, the Elite Four and the champion.
    • No Unlocks: Starters as they are on a fresh save, with no passive, egg moves or cost reductions.
    • Full Unlocks: Starters with the passive, the egg moves and the cost reductions already unlocked.
  • Endless: Runs that keep going, where scaling and staying alive matter more than an early spike.
    • No Unlocks: Starters as they are on a fresh save, with no passive, egg moves or cost reductions.
    • Full Unlocks: Starters with the passive, the egg moves and the cost reductions already unlocked.

Your votes in one list never affect the others. You can vote on all 571 starters in each of the four.

How rankings are calculated

  1. Each tier is worth points: D=1C=2B=3A=4S=5SS=6SSS=7
  2. A Pokémon's score is a Bayesian average: every Pokémon starts with 10 virtual votes at the list's overall average, then real votes pull it up or down.
    score = (10 × list_average + sum_of_votes) / (10 + number_of_votes)
Three enthusiastic votes therefore cannot put a Pokémon above one that hundreds of players agree on.
  3. The score is rounded to the nearest tier (5.4 becomes S, 5.6 becomes SS).
  4. A Pokémon needs at least 5 votes before it is placed in a tier. Until then it appears under “Needs more votes”.
  5. Popularity is not strength. The score is an average, so a popular Pokémon with many B votes stays in B. More votes only make the result more reliable, shown as low, medium or high confidence.
  6. Every Pokémon page shows the full vote distribution, the median and the vote count, so you can judge the result yourself.

Voting fairly

  • Signing in with Discord or Google is required to vote or post, so each account gets exactly one vote per Pokémon in each of the four lists.
  • You can change or remove your vote at any time. Individual votes stay private; only the totals are public.
  • Posting is rate-limited, and the rules are enforced by the database itself, not just the website. Moderators can remove votes from accounts that abuse the system.
  • Known limitation: someone with several Discord accounts could vote more than once. The Bayesian average and the vote threshold reduce the impact, and moderators can purge suspicious votes.

Community rules

  • Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech or personal attacks.
  • Stay on topic: PokéRogue starters, strategies and fusions.
  • No spam, advertising, or links to cheats, exploits or save editors.
  • Vote for how good a Pokémon is, not for how much you like it.
  • Posts reported by several players are hidden automatically until a moderator reviews them. Repeated abuse leads to a ban.

Verified data vs. opinions

Types, abilities, passives, egg moves, costs, base stats and evolution lines are extracted automatically from the official PokéRogue source code (branch beta, commit 8555c08, synced 24/09/2026). Tiers, guides, opinions and fusions are player opinion.
