Iron Boulder hits hard because of 120 base STR and Sharpness, and activating its Quark Drive makes it OHKO most enemies. But Boulder also hits fast at 124 base SPD, and Quark Drive is even more generous to this stat, so Jolly nature can very much decide how you play Boulder.

Esca27 days agoGreat stats for Classic mode, good offensive typing and while defensively it kinda sucks it's surprisingly solid into a lot of major mons. The main downside is that its levelup pool takes very long to get going; Rock Throw is your best move until level 28 and you don't get a STAB over 70BP until after level 50 (and unless you get a Swords Dance TM early, no setup to alleviate it). Unlocks go a long way in making it great all run long by fixing these earlygame problems though, and the passive makes its damage output ridiculous.
